Faith was raised in Shanghai, China, is a fifth generation New Yorker, and the daughter of two lawyers. She is a graduate of New York University and New York’s High School of Performing Arts. She is a single mother and has two daughters adopted from China: gg, 19, and cc, 12.


Popcorn (as you may have guessed) is not the name she was born with. Her surname Plotkin proved difficult for one of her first bosses to pronounce. He dubbed her “Popcorn” as his personal shorthand – and it stuck.
